We are all rocks and we make the church. Peter was just the first to understand this. We are all like peter now. Anyone who believes JESUS is the son of GOD is a rock. We all have the keys to the kingdom. Peter was just the very first rock. JESUS is the foundation. We all that believe in JESUS build our home on him. There is only GOD, JESUS, believers and unbelievers. We have to drop denominations and titles. It’s not Catholicism that brings you closer to GOD. What you feel is just the Holy Spirit from being close to JESUS. Careful not to give a name like Catholicism all the glory because you’re in danger of making it an idol. Putting being Catholic or claiming going to a Catholic Church is why you’re better off is taking all the glory. It’s GOD and GOD alone why we are saved and better off. Our GOD is a jealous GOD so don’t exalt anything above him. It’s clear throughout the Bible to not exalt anything or anyone above the word of GOD. I used to be catholic but JESUS opened my eyes to the truth. I dropped claiming a denomination and title and just surrendered to him and started obeying his commands. When he talked about God the father being hidden in the clouds in the old testament and then saying why can't Jesus be hidden in the bread, the bells just started going off in my head. My walk with Jesus is just pain all the time

Asking someone to pray for you is not praying to someone that is passed to the other side to pray for you. For you will notice that the Catholic Church has ordained special saints to be prayed too. The bible never called one saints to be over another for this special calling. We that are s saved are all called saints in the eyes of God from the least of us to the greater. Saints mean sanctified by Christ. No and I mean no apostle prayed to the many saints that had passed on during there time are before. In praying to special saints that are better then the rest of us and not following the Bible example of praying in the holy spirit to reach God is forgetting that is what Christ died for that we may have the Spirit to deliver our prayers to God. This is what the Catholic beliefs do. They interfere with what God has put in place to reach Him. Now you go through the priest for forgiveness of sins, instead of Going to God, you go through a so called saint not the Spirit. You go through Mary to get to Christ who then will get you to God. You have all these mediators between you and God when all you need is what Christ has ordained and that’s the Holy Spirit. Christ died that we would be filled with the Spirit which gives us the direct connection with God. To all the saints in the Catholic Church may God bless you but this is why I could not be Catholic because they do not add up with the bible. Gal. 1:8 if WE are an angel from heaven from heaven, preach ANY OTHER GOSPEL that we have not preach to you let him be accursed. Paul says even if He preaches something different then what HAS been preach.

I dont worship my dead grandmother i jist ask her to pray for me. Well and i also totally devoted myself to her, pray to her.listem to her prophesies about the future, praise her and talk to her every day. I depend on her to prtect me from the wrath of Jesus. I even made a statue of her and kiss the statues feet and light candles to her. Its only veneration thogh and totally not worship.

Very inspiring . I am 47 years old catholic . Born and raised as catholic. Like every catholic, all catholic, we all have Grand Canyon to climb and sure it’s really hard but the gift of all sacraments lead us to reaching the top and breath. I appreciated so much the story of every converts and I am inspired. I know you said , we older Catholics need to be the role model and I love that reminders. And so you know, you converts are actually the best mirror on how we should inspired ourselves as the older Catholics to see how gracious you are and how awesomely you are in your faith. I came to Christianity by the drawing of God & then His Word in a country that was all catholic. It didn't take much to know Catholsism was wrong. Met a guy who told me about his Catholsism & I decided to deeply study it because this guy was heavily convinced of it. The more I looked into it, their claims, their writing the greasier it got, I was blown away. So many claims that were forged & manufactured, the history itself from popes to institutions, wow!! I won't even try because I know the truth is right before us all & wexare responsible. No! I do not trust man's teaching even on my side & it must line up with the Word, nothing outside of it that which creates wrong doctrine. That is where we all get into trouble & it is where satan operates to confuse. I know that the roman religion is the biggest for this but they accuse all the protestants for having several denominations and it is because of Satans tactics. But lets clear the air of what catholics say: there is not even close to over 5k protectant denominations, y'all lump in all the cults you can get your hands on that have nothing to do with Christ. I belong to a denomination that believes an issue of 2 sides that I dont. It isnt a salvation issue. I have the opportunity to flee a church or denomination that is qrong, off & not Christ centered and I have. We grow & mature in the Lord through the Spirit, it's Sanctification. I notice from catholics I know that although they won't admit it that they are committed to & worship their institution & won't leave no matter what. I never read Matthew 16 the way the RCC does & promotesvit, that seed was never put in me until I studied Catholsism. When I barely started to study I immediatly seen that my GOD could not be in that, it progressed as I studied & it just got greasier as I went. Did I study one sided claimed facts? Of course not. I had to know that I know to ensure I was right with the Lord.

Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. No one not even Mary comes unto the Father but by Christ Jesus. Take NOT your eyes off of Christ for faith, prayers or blessings. He is the Lord your God and the Messiah. To pray to Mary is to pray to Abraham or David as they are all well favored by the Lord. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of Jesus. He is the I Am not the I was.

I hope you answer this. September 8,2024,somebody posted a question Why Jesus did not call Mary “Mother”. I know that the person who asked was a born again Christian. I am a Catholic and I respect all faith but I felt disrespected because of him downplaying Mary’s role as the Mother of God Jesus.

Catholics know the difference between worship and pray. But protestants think both are the same. The Mass is The Worship. The rosary is a prayer. We worship God. We pray to Mary and the saints.

So you’re saying that ppl that get saved through faith don’t go to heaven unless they have “works”? Jesus makes it pretty clear that it’s your faith. If you have true faith you’ll do the “works” that automatically fall within that lifestyle. But you go to heaven today based on your faith alone. Look at ppl on death row for example..throughout history I’m sure a lot of “lifers” and inmates found God before they died inside. If their faith was true then they’re in paradise. The only “work” they could do was very limited. Jesus dying on the cross changed who ultimately goes to heaven and hell. The keys to the abyss Jesus gives the angel in revelation isn’t the only reason He went to hell before His resurrection. He preached to the “lost”souls. Preaching to them what happened. Why would He bother “preaching” to them if their hope was lost and had no chance of heaven?? The cross changed how one would enter into their afterlife. Had He not done that we would still be under Law of Moses sacrificing animals and wearing certain clothes no eatin unleavened bread etc etc. in the book of Luke I think I coukd be wrong but they have a legit argument (the apostles) about this very thing. Peter not clicking with the gentiles in the early ministry.

I am from Texas & I find it so interesting when people say that they grew up never knowing a catholic! A lot of people back home (Galveston) are default Catholics. Even where my mom is from (Hill country) is pretty dang catholic! I momentarily "left" the catholic church because I thought protestants were far more similar to catholics then they actually are (ex. I didn't realize they don't believe in sacred tradition & that they think the Eucharist is just a symbol)

I'm grateful that my parents were Catholic and not other denomination because we have relatives that so sure that they have the true church. Thank you Dr.Travis and Keirh for your podcast. ❤
